The Delaware CDL license cost is typical $30, and this will be valid for 5 years. However, each endorsement adds on $5. The DOT physical card adds on another $50-100 depending on the physician and insurance policy. The CDL permit also requires a $48 fee for the written test.
Class A license is considered the “universal” CDL, providing the opportunities for driving several different types of commercial trucks and tractor-trailers.
Class B license also permits the operation of different types of vehicles such as straight trucks and dump trucks, but it is more limiting than a class A CDL.
Class D license is understood as the license holder to operate any single vehicle with a GVWR of fewer than 26,001 pounds or any such vehicle towing a vehicle with a GVWR, not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
The driver in Delaware has to complete 50 multiple-choice questions. In order to get the license, you must correctly answer at least 40 questions (80%).
The truck you drive depends on which class of driving license you plan on learning: Class A, Class B, or Class C. Most programs take approximately eight weeks of full-time study. Your program may take less time if you intend to earn a Class B or Class C license.
